See the video below for more details on how to use the pulley system. For the price, this hoist system is very easy to install and use. The locking mechanism is easy to engage and disengage. I see that the pulleys have a kind of crackly look as if they were stored in a very warm area for some period so I wonder about their longevity up high in the garage where it is much hotter. Would love it more if it had someway to lock the hooks to the bike. Great price, and great utility. It was easy to assemble and install, I did it by myself in about 30 minutes. I think some kind of hand-crank should be included for lifting heavier bikes. That being said I still think I made a good choice. It's a good value for the money. It can be used to lift heavy bikes.
