Not only is it highly superior in prying up the board, it also was great for pulling nails that weren't pulled out with the subflooring. My wife did most of the tear out, and this tool handled the task handily. Supposed to make taking pallets apart easy, but it's design means that it breaks more slats than it saves. Otherwise, very happy with the product. I've ripped out tile, hardwood and plywood with it and it does it better than anything else I've used. The way it hooks over a joist so you can remove plywood is an awesome feature! It does a good job of flooring demo. But it's not the best tool in the world for ripping out tile or hardwood.
