The cable itself is coated metal that is easy to shape (bend, coil or straighten) and has a stiffness that allows it to retain the desired shape. I like the ability to store images and video and even better that a 32GB memory card comes with the kit as you must have one to save anything. I found this borescope to pack a lot of features and is great to have for many situations where you want to avoid dismantling things (like plumbing or car engine parts) just to have access to seeing something. Quite handy and user-friendly (once you get acclimated to the controls). I found it to be very easy to use once you get used to the buttons and controls.
